After building a strong reputation for themselves last year with releases on Sludge and PlayMe, Bristol based duo, Dodge & Fuski, are set to make their mark again with their new tunes forthcoming on Never Say Die. The programming in these tunes is nothing short of psychotic, and the mastering is immaculate. Just pure hysteria. Look out for these guys.
FS, that’s right, from Ming & FS, for those who know, is back on the bass scene making some huge noise with his dubstep. Play Me Records is proud to release his second EP, “Yup”/ “Touch O Klass” on Monday Feb 21. Enjoy this free massive monster of a remix in anticipation of even more fun!
**Bonus free tune from PlayMeToo** I missed this when it came out and now its way too late for V-Day, but this free Remix of Pat Benetar’s “Heartbreaker” is totally worth a listen.
Not gonna lie, I’ve been falling behind on keeping up with the wubs these past two weeks. I could make a million excuses about how busy I am or how my girlfriend is like a black hole for my productivity, but instead I am going to try and make it up to you by posting these random tunes that you need to hear if you missed it when they dropped like I did.
First we have some intriguing remixes from Kraddy’s “Labyrinth” remix project.
Dubstep innovators Skream and Benga brought their latest sub-bass selection to the Radio 1 decks with their recent appearance on “In New DJs We Trust”. With massive new tracks from Rusko, P Money and Emalkay, you can expect plenty of exclusives and mischief with their ‘Show Jacker’ escapades. It is some really groovy stuff in there – definitely worth a listen. I was impressed by the progressive and dark feel to their “dubby” Dubstep sound.
Torqux hit us up today to let us know that him and his cousin, Twist, have finished their new EP. As usual they have mixed together all 4 tracks into one of the nastiest teasers I have ever come accross. These guys continually impress me with the deliciously disturbing textures and face crushing production work. Look for the “Unleashed EP” when it drops February 21st on Rottun Recordings.

DJ UMB sent along word Generation Bass would be releasing a fresh EP by GoldRush this V-Day, and after giving it a listen I’m blown away at how well the epic/romantic/bass style works as well as by the talent demonstrated by GoldRush in its execution. I think Floridub co-editor Rolls Royce put it best:
A groovy journey through a dynamic range of dark and light, conducted with very interesting and unpredictable production work. The sound keeps you guessing where it will take you next.
And keep your eyes out this Bjork remix coming tomorrow…

Boosh! Suicide Dub sent this our way as a little taste of what to expect from one of their fresh faced artists, CliffHanga. Too many good tunes start off with similar sweeping orchestral symphonies but then ruin it all with an out-of-place filthy drop. CliffHanga just maintains the cool throughout and evokes memories of Skream’s early work with La Roux; an ominous and deep bass throughout, accompanied by ghostly echoing vocals and synths.
The single will be available for digital download on 7th March and be packaged along further ground-swelling remixes from Evolve or Die and Arkist, ‘Landmines’ will also be accompanied by a similarly startling video created in collaboration with London installation artist Joe Morris, whose use of smoke-projected imagery only enhance the sensory haunting essence of the track.
