Boosh! Suicide Dub sent this our way as a little taste of what to expect from one of their fresh faced artists, CliffHanga. Too many good tunes start off with similar sweeping orchestral symphonies but then ruin it all with an out-of-place filthy drop. CliffHanga just maintains the cool throughout and evokes memories of Skream’s early work with La Roux; an ominous and deep bass throughout, accompanied by ghostly echoing vocals and synths.
The single will be available for digital download on 7th March and be packaged along further ground-swelling remixes from Evolve or Die and Arkist, ‘Landmines’ will also be accompanied by a similarly startling video created in collaboration with London installation artist Joe Morris, whose use of smoke-projected imagery only enhance the sensory haunting essence of the track.
