Pictured above: Miles Kane and Skream circa 1920.
Skream continues his redefinition of dubstep through his Skreamizm project, this time remixing what will be the debut track from Miles Kane’s upcoming solo album. Miles’ vocals cascade against a drumstep backdrop with subtle hints of 90′s trance. It’s of the quality I would expect from an artist of such caliber, at the same time there’s nothing that jumps out and really captures your attention. Miles simply doesn’t have the vocal “umph” to put this on the same level as Skream’s recent vocal dubstep track “Getting Nowhere” with John Legend, which he worked on as part of the Magnetic Man trio.
