The Badman Press king pin has doled out a 4 track EP of epic proportions, smashing you in the face with the next release-worth of Chronos sickery. Be sure you check out the promo video.
2011 has been a great year for this production duo. Landing releases on many large and influential labels, they have become a driving force in the development of dancefloor friendly Dubstep. Their newest release drops June 13th on Section8 Records. Here’s a high quality preview:
We should be picking momentum back up so expect a lot less slacking going on. Also, were still looking to bring on a couple more writers, so please email us if you’re interested in becoming a contributor. For now here are some of the amazing tunes I’ve neglected telling you about over the past week.
The Iche & Dirty Monkey - This long-time production group from Bulder, Colorado just earned their first release on Play Me records. This heavy, and highly Electro influenced EP is definitely worth a listen. Here are the previews:
The Ishe & Dirt Monkey EP (preview)
Litov - The Bassface roundup post never feels complete without some face-smashing madness from Russia. These guys seem to do a good job of including a decent “rave” influence in the way they engineer their aggressive compositions. I love it.
Litov – Shot Gun (Preview)
Biometrix - This 18 year-old Brittish producer is striving to make a name for himself using some huge futuristic patches you expect to hear inside a Torqux track, mixed with some west-coast Hip-Hop style synth melodies. It is a unique mix of dirty, grimy, melodic funk that is rare to come across, I recommend keeping an eye on this kid.
Eyes & Dave Silcox - This is a good example of when a producer can balance beautiful female vocals over some really gnarly basslines. I love this kind of stuff. Its not as heavy as the rest of today’s batch, but its definitely Bassface worthy.
Danny & Freja - If Only You (Eyes & Dave Silcox Remix)
Timmy Trash -This new Brittish producer showed up on my radar last week with what I like to call “Transylvania Step”. I wish this one dropped closer to Halloween because it makes me want to dress as a vamipre or a zombie and do the thriller. Every time I listen to this tune I get the silliest Bassface. Oh, and did I mention you can download it for free?
Timmy Trash - With You
Genetix & Persist - Another Brittish production duo, including the mastermind behind Dubstep classic “Squid Attack”, also featured on the Dubstep Onslaught CD. You know this is one to look out for. It just dropped on Audio Phreaks so get youself a copy.
Tom Encore – This Polish producer caught me by supprise with this supprisingly intense and angry banger he’s letting go for free. Props.
Camo & Krooked – This veteran production duo attempts to tear the roof off the Dubstep genre with this incredible new banger forthcoming on Hospital Records June 3rd. I can’t wait.
Warning: The filthy phenomenon known as Dubstep is infecting the planet at an alarming rate. This short PSA explores the dangers, symptoms and masterminds responsible for this epidemic, preparing us for the plague that Zaudio is pushing out with this monumental, 3 CD package on June 13th. You have been warned!
Well, I’ve got nothing patriotic to say. Just an excuse as to why I spent all day with a friend visiting from law school instead of keeping my fellow Floridubbers up to speed with this marvelous mellowstep. Please forgive me. I’ve got some more, heavier stuff that will be posted later today for ya as well so keep it locked.
Fedbymachines - This Deep House artists from the Netherlands decided to experiment with mellowstep one day, and this is what happened.
Fedbymachines - Bleed
Excision & Downlink - Two of the last names you’d expect to be associated with mellostep dug into their archives and posted some of their roots production work earlier this week on Soundcloud. Check it out.
Excision & Downlink - 2005
Kotez - Long time British producer has this deep and pleasant tune dropping July 18th on Eight:fx. If you’re into mellostep, definitely keep an eye on this guy.
Kotez - Nebula (Original)
Magnetic Man - Its been a while since I’ve heard anything from this epic production team, but their new tune does not disappoint. This vast and emotionally epic mellowstep journey is the last single from their forthcoming self-titled album releasing this year sometime.
Robokop - Another name not familiar to the mellowstep posts comes through with a relaxing remix just in time for this day of reflection. enjoy.
Late edition to yesterdays mix drop is this ridiculous set from one of the most influential people in Dubstep. Containing 41 tracks with appearances from almost every heavy hitter in the game, this mix is one you know you cant resist.
Happy Saturday Floridubbers. I’m still on the grind so updates have been minimal, but things look like they should be clearing up soon. For now just soak up these fresh mixes that dropped over the last week or so, and check back soon cause we have some dope tunes to post up very soon.
Hulk - This one came out a few weeks ago and already has more than 10k plays on Soundcloud. So if you haven’t heard this one already, check it out.
HULK - Almost Famous
Ohm Grown -This Hawaiian duo continues to make waves with their mashups and remixes. This time its their entry to the Dodge & Fuski minimix contest that hit on our radar.
Dodge & Fuski Minimix by Ohm Grown
Roksonix – One of our favorite members of the Circus Records camp just dropped some serious madness on filth.fm last week. Make sure you hear this one.
Koan comes through with a clean and original sound for this one. Perfect for an old-timey western ghost town duel, “Trouble In The West” is an impressive example of how dynamic and expansive the genre of Dubstep can be. It is the first of four tracks on Koan’s “Max Out EP” available on Inspected Records. Get your copy here.
