Bullwack – Captain Planet

Just got another solid (and free) track from one of my new favorite producers, Bullwack. This one starts off as an 8bit RPG fantasy, then quickly slaps you in the face with some proper filthy and evil bass and takes you back to the 8bit land again. Very tight work. As I said before, keep an eye on this guy, and remember: Do not summon Captain Planet unless you are ready for that pain!

Playma – We Can Live Forever / Far Away

After a show in Kalingrad a few months ago, two of my favorite Russian producers – Mars, and DaVIP, ended up in a studio with a Frenchman named Ben William. A few hours later, their combined energy and talent gave birth to this incredible new sound they call “Playma“. With backgrounds ranging through all genres of EDM and influences spanning the most eclectic sounds, this trio promises to deliver a unique blend of deep and dirty gnarliness. Their debut single dropped earlier this month on Audioporn Records, and is available on Beatport. I highly recommend picking up a copy and keeping a look out for Playma’s future releases.

GRiZ – Wheres The Love?

I was recently turned on to this Michigan based producer called GRiZ, who is pushing out loads of free remixes. The originally heard his remix of “Dream On” by Aerosmith, which is a really smooth glitch-step track that progresses from extremely chill vibes into some deeper darker territory while staying true to the original groove. “Wheres The Love” is even funkier with a much larger and dancefloor friendly presence. Check it out and keep and look for more freshness coming from this guy.

Datsik & Bassnectar – Elevate

This new collaboration from two of the biggest heavyweights in our beloved genre doesn’t quite deliver what I would expect. It is quite mellow but still has that kind of wobbly groove you can zone out to. Perfect for Mellowstep Monday.

Feed Me feat. James Smith – Trap Door

Came accross this ill ass track over the weekend and figured I should share it with you.

MNNiA vs. StereoKillaz – Two Steps Closer (free)EP

Hungarian producer Gergo Schmidt a.k.a. MNNiA, sent this pretty impressive (and Free) EP our way over the weekend. “Two Steps Closer” has a pretty dynamic feel to it with influences ranging from in-your-face styles like Doctor P, to extremely deep and melodic production like Xilent. It’s definitely worth a listen, plus its free. Below is the preview and here is the download link.

New Torqux & Twist Remixes

Torqux & Twist are still cranking out solid jams. Here are two gnarly bangers that dropped earlier in the week. No further explanation required, just listen.

Dubstep is kinda like this:

Chances are you’ve seen this image floating around the interwebs, finding it mildly amusing. I found it truly inspirational, and after a little digging, and a lot of procrastination I threw together this little video so you can get the full effect of what was intended from the original (de)motivational poster. I hope you enjoy and repost this video as much as possible. Thank you.

Kraddy – Anthems of the Hero

I recently received news from founding Glitch-Mob member, Kraddy, that he has a new album dropping October 10th. “Anthems of the Hero” promises to be a benchmark in the career of this Cali-based beat conductor. I was allowed a private preview of the album and I must say it has an original organic feel to it that I have never heard before. To wet your appetite, we were given two huge tracks from this album to share with you for a limited time.

Virus Syndicate – The Sign [Official Video]

Legendary artist collective, Virus Syndicate, teamed up with Dub Police artist, Distinction, to deliver a proper end-of-summer jam. “The Sign” is an upbeat, Hip-Hop flavored banger with just the right amount of filthy bass to make you wanna bounce. To accompany its release, the Syndicate invited their closest fans and supporters to the video shoot and involved them in the production which has an overall positive vibe. For a full explanation, check out the behind the scenes video.
