Fellow Floridian and long time friend, Nerd Rage, just dropped this raw and intense mix on his Soundcloud followers. I have known Nerd Rage for many years and have had the privileged to watch him grow and progress as a producer and a DJ. Now after gaining international recognition, headlining the biggest Dubstep weekly in Central Florida and touring all around the country, he still remains the same humble and fun kid I’ve known the whole time. Yes the same Young and Reckless clothing line owned by skating legend Rob Dyrdek’s cousin Drama has now apparently jumped into commissioning mixes. I’m still not sold on the clothes but there’s some bangers on here worthy of a listen.
The Figure remix of Gobstopper alone is worth the download. Love or hate thugstep, it strikes the perfect balance between the egotistical lyrics of XV and Whiz and the massive drops of Figure, using the lyrics more like scenery than making them the main focus of the song.
And it works, because they’re singing about Willy Wonka and Gobstoppers or some such ridiculousness that chills quite nicely in the part of your brain that doesn’t think about things too hard. Lovely.

This is the fourth installment in their series of montly podcasts, and if you haven’t caught the first three you need to go back and do your homework because this group is pushing the envelope in EDM production. Keep your eyes on these guys.
DJ RNS dropped this new mix in my inbox over the weekend, and after taking the time to listen through it I must say it has to be a candidate for filthiest mix of the year. I absolutely enjoyed the blended madness all the way through, and I hope you do to.

DJ UMB sent word his Generation Bass label will be releasing “DEEPATON”, the next of their Moombahton EP series, on September 19th. The exact words he used to describe what to expect: “Four cuts of deep, soulful and sexy Moombahton deep”.
This time they’re highlighting SaBBo, who’s been an influencial global groove machine for some time now, having released his own EP, a ton of bootlegs and remixes, and regularly contributing to the Mad Decent blog.

To help promote their first US tour alongside Skrillex and 12th Planet, Foreign Beggars’ promo team sent this mix by DJ Nonames our way. The word is that Skrillex and 12th Planet have some sort of live production act going they’re debuting that promises to be some next-level performance.
